Excellent entertainment for every event!
Take Two
Posted on Oct 03, 2012

Have you ever smashed yourself in the face with a yo-yo in front of 800 of your peers? Thrown flaming torches into a crowd? How about embarrassed yourself on national television? Stunt Lab's yo-yo champion Mark Hayward has done all of these things and more. Now he goes solo, hilariously recounting and recreating some of his worst gigs for your entertainment. But this time he fixes the disasters. Maybe.

Mark dedicates this show to the memory of two great jugglers: Robert Nelson and Luke Wilson.

Directed by Viveca Gardiner.

Mark Hayward (juggler, yo-yoer, cool guy) has been a variety arts performer since 1990. He is a world yo-yo champion, a member of a world-champion juggling team, and a spintop champion. His mom is proud. Mark has traveled the world with a yo-yo on his finger (well, mostly in his pocket), and has made appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, America's Got Talent, and the NBC Nightly News (without committing a crime). Someday Mark hopes to perform for both the President and the Queen. Not being a convicted criminal should help with that. markhayward.net

Viveca Gardiner (director) is president of Playful Productions, which produces variety arts and circus shows and provides performers and instructors for special events, corporate training, and education programs. She has performed as a juggler, ringmistress, aerialist, clown, stilt walker, and trick skater and worked behind the scenes in many technical and managerial capacities. She has taught circus skills to hundreds of people. She was a director at the Big Apple Circus and now produces CircusNYC and JuggleNYC and directs Bindlestiff Family Cirkus’s youth programs. In March, she directed Mark & Jonathan (Burns) in Stunt Lab, also at the Canal Park Playhouse.
